How to use

Four short steps to use Subnet & IP Pool Planner. No file uploads and no account needed.

  1. 1

Enter the parent block in CIDR notation, for example 10.20.0.0/16.

  2. 2

Add per-segment requirements: name, host count, or desired prefix.

  3. 3

Review the allocation and confirm nothing overlaps.

  4. 4

Copy the result table or export it as CSV for documentation.

Key features

  • Full CIDR calculator: network, broadcast, mask, and usable range.
  • Automatic VLSM allocation from a parent block into several segments.
  • Overlap detection and warnings when the block is exhausted.
  • CSV export for network documentation or NOC tickets.

FAQ

Does it connect to my router?

No. All math happens in the browser. There is no device connection and no credentials are requested.

Does it support IPv6?

The first batch focuses on IPv4 for ISP operations. IPv6 support is planned for a later update.

How are /31 and /32 handled?

Both are supported with point-to-point rules: /31 yields two addresses, /32 a single host address.

About Subnet & IP Pool Planner

This subnet planner computes network address, broadcast, usable host range, and host counts from CIDR notation, then helps split one large block into VLSM subnets. It is built for ISP operations: laying out PPPoE pools, dividing customer blocks per OLT, and proving there are no overlapping addresses. All computation runs in the browser, so subscriber lists and internal topology never leave your device.
